Editure closes Green IT Solution with major client

A major Editure client was consolidating its offices in the Sydney metropolitan area into a new building in the north of Sydney.  During the investigation phase the discussion discovered a requirement of the new networking infrastructure was identified. An important condition of their new building lease; was a requirement that they needed to be able to monitor and manage energy consumption within their leasehold.

 

 

Editure introduced our client to the EnergyWise feature of the Cisco Switches and networking equipment that through the Cisco Orchestrator application can monitor and manage the networking infrastructure. 

This solution led to an implementation of Cisco switches with EnergyWise implemented within them. The management of the switches was left to an integrated solution of a Cisco UCS 200 server bundled with the Cisco Orchestrator application.

Current status

The Cisco Orchestrator application has been installed in the clients Adelaide office and is currently collecting data from the switch infrastructure located in Sydney.
Editure is providing the local training for operational requirements and assisting in defining a set of sample reports; structured to suit the clients requirements.

Although it is possible our client; at this point; does not intend to use the

Orchestrator to manage and review energy usage on their PC Desk top deployments.

Editure’s  Adelaide office has a lab license of Orchestrator set up in to enable our clients to review the deployment of an Cisco EnergyWise implementation.
