Editure NMS is provisioned as a managed service for an initial 24-month contract. The service includes the provision of the code base, the appliance device, nearly unlimited node monitoring. For an additional per node cost Editure’s engineering team will provide alarm response for agreed hours of coverage. This will include 1st level problem determination for monitored nodes when they move outside the agreed tolerances for that node.
Editure currently deploys the NMS server on a variety of equipment, which has been tested for use in the most demanding environments. Appliance code is provisioned on flash memory to reduce the improve stability and hard disks are used for logging historical data across managed nodes. This data can be backed up in a number of ways should customers require.
To enable Editure to provide client support it will require secure access to the NMS appliance. This is typically provisioned via a secure VPN connection initiated from the appliance back to a secure environment at Editure.
